New York Foundation for Senior Citizens mourns the passing of Alma Rangel, our highly dedicated long-term Vice Chairman of our Board of Directors and beloved friend. Over the past 46 years, Alma has been a driving force behind and staunch supporter of the Foundation’s planning, development and administration of numerous buildings and social service programs, especially Alma Rangel Gardens and the Home Sharing and Respite Care Program. Alma has advocated on behalf of each of our endeavors to ensure the Foundation’s ongoing provision of the highest quality housing and social services for older New Yorkers.![]()

Senior Theatre Enrichment Program
The Foundation collaborates with TDF to provide older adults with deeply discounted theatre
tickets for Broadway, Off Broadway and Off-Off Broadway theatre shows, dance
performances and music concerts in NYC. Through our collaboration with TDF, you
may be eligible for membership in their TDF Community Partners Program. As a TDF
member, you are able to buy tickets to shows ranging from $9 to $47, even for top
Broadway shows!

Special note: If you or your loved one is hard of hearing or deaf, has low vision or is
blind, cannot climb stairs or requires aisle seating for a wheelchair, the TDF Accessibility Programs (TAP) might be of interest to you. TDF obtains seating according
to need for 50% off the ticket price. There is no annual fee for this membership, but you
must provide proof of eligibility. Dual memberships (regular and TAP) are available. If
you’d like to set up a free TAP membership, please apply online.
